This page specifically covers Facebook and Instagram. TikTok can be disconnected through the same Somemind social-account settings. Removing provider access stops future API use; deleting data from Somemind is a separate request described below.
1. Disconnect in Somemind AI
- Sign in at somemindai.com/login.
- Open the relevant workspace and go to Settings → Social accounts.
- Disconnect the Facebook Page or Instagram professional account.
Disconnecting removes the stored authorization from active use and prevents new publishing through that connection. It does not delete posts already published on Facebook or Instagram.
2. Revoke access in Facebook
- Open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Select Somemind AI.
- Choose Remove and follow Facebook's prompts.
Meta may notify our signed deauthorization endpoint. When the signed request is valid, Somemind marks matching Facebook and Instagram connections as disconnected and clears stored access and refresh tokens.
3. Request deletion from Somemind AI
Self-service
- Sign in and open Settings → GDPR & Privacy.
- Select Request account deletion.
- Confirm the request. The application records the request and scheduled deletion date.
Email info@punasaariresearch.fi with subject “Somemind AI Data Deletion Request”. Send the request from the account email where possible and identify the workspace and connected Meta account sufficiently for verification. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
4. What we delete or anonymize
- Somemind profile and workspace membership data that is no longer required.
- Facebook, Instagram and TikTok identifiers, connection metadata and encrypted tokens associated with the deleted connection or workspace.
- Drafts, schedules, media and AI-generated content controlled by the deleted workspace, subject to ownership and team-account checks.
- Personal identifiers in operational data where deletion is not technically required but continued identification is unnecessary.
If other members share a workspace, we may need the workspace owner or an authorized administrator to decide whether shared business content is deleted. We will explain any limitation when responding.
5. What may remain
- Posts already published on Facebook or Instagram remain on those platforms until you delete them there.
- Invoices and accounting records remain for periods required by Finnish law.
- Security records may be retained where necessary to investigate abuse, protect legal claims or meet legal obligations.
- Deleted production data may persist temporarily in encrypted backups until normal backup rotation completes.
- Data independently held by Meta, Stripe or another provider is governed by that provider's policy and controls.
6. Timing and verification
We may verify identity and authority before acting. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month. That period can be extended by up to two additional months for complex or numerous requests, in which case we provide notice and reasons within the first month.
In-product account deletion includes a 30-day waiting period to prevent accidental loss. You can contact us during that period about cancellation. Statutory retention and backup rotation can continue after the operational deletion date.
